    Primer on Bentgrass Breeding

    In this event presented by LebanonTurf and recorded June 28, Stacy Bonos, Ph.D., of Rutgers University, will discuss factors involved in selecting and breeding creeping bentgrass, velvet bentgrass and colonial bentgrass as playing surfaces on golf courses. The presentation will include disease resistance issues with each variety as well as treatment option; wear tolerance for each strain and how that influences turf type selection; salt tolerance and issues related to water use; quality and growth habits; and how turf selection influences input factors.
