Being Paid to Swim
Usually swimming is for fun with family and friends, but at The Hills we go swimming to clean out ponds. Brendan has us go in to the ponds and get out the weeds from the surface and as much as we can from the bottom. This is great for hot days when you really want to go swimming. I look forward to doing this more often. This time it was me, Scott (one of my American roommates), Ben, Andrew, Dave, and Josh.

This week fairway coring was finished up so hopefully the poor areas will be helped. After the coring and cleaning the areas were watered a lot and had wetting agent put on them to help with penetration through the thick thatch layer to the soil. I also got to water tees one day to help some weaker areas with recovery.
On Friday we cut off work early and had a Christmas party. This is one of the few times of the year that the staff gets to play the course. We played the front 9, but me being a lefty and having no clubs had to play as a righty. That made playing the course much harder. Going around the course as a golfer was a change of pace and allowed me to see a different aspect to the course. I enjoyed the golfing and think the course is really fun. After we had some food back at the shed. It feels weird to think that Christmas is coming soon, but the weather is too warm for me. I'm used to cold and snowy not warm and sunny.
I also took a long walk up Sawpit Gully and saw a few more trails to take.
