Assistant Mechanic SUMMARY Assists Head Mechanic with routine equipment maintenance and repairs of the machinery and equipment used for golf course maintenance. Also performs golf course maintenance and construction project work. HOURS/DAYS Monday through Thursday - 5:00am - 1:30pm, Fridays 5:00am – 10:00am and every other weekend (both Saturdays and Sundays) for approximately 4 hours – 5:00am - 8:30am. During Summer: Monday through Thursday - 6:00am - 2:30pm, Fridays - 6:00am – 11:00am. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists Head Mechanic with routine service on golf course maintenance equipment, adjusts reels, grease bearings, changes oil, changes tires and fills equipment with fuel. Assists with major and minor repairs in the shop or in the field, as required. Assists in training the associates in the proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment. Assists with equipment record keeping, including usage hours, fuel consumption and maintenance records. Secures and replaces tools and supplies. Cleans working area on a regular and consistent basis. Assists in controlling tool access and use by associates. Performs general maintenance and repair of golf course and golf course facilities. Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club is seeking an Irrigation Technician for the golf course. The desired candidates would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a team player, self-motivated and appreciates the value of hard work. This position is ideal for someone with golf course experience looking to try something new or a previous irrigation technician. Gulf Harbour recently completed a full golf course renovation in 2020, including a new Toro LSM system with HDPE pipe throughout. The irrigator will monitor greens, tees, fairways, and rough for dry areas. Spot water as needed. Repair breaks and conduct basic maintenance to the system. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under the direction of an assigned facility manager to direct and coordinate the crew responsible for the care and maintenance of Memphis City owned golf course. Supervises and aids in duties related to turf management. Inspects and monitors overall turf conditions to determine the needs and care of the golf course. Develops and maintains techniques and soil treatments used for the healthy growth of turf, shrubs, plants, and other greenery, including application of commercial pesticides. Assists with developing procedures, materials, and safety standards applicable to turf diseases and proper safety methods. Assists in plant selection for grounds. Determines priorities of equipment maintenance and repair and schedules maintenance for the golf course. Operates equipment and tools, including turf equipment, tractor with attachments, irrigating systems, and high-pressure pumps. Reviews work performed by external contractors related to equipment and grounds maintenance. Exercises cost control measures to keep operating and capital expenses aligned with approved budgets. Drives to golf courses throughout the City to inspect daily activities and instruct assigned crew on proper use of equipment and completion of duties. Evaluates work performance, maintains daily attendance records, and provides disciplinary actions for assigned staff as required.

Ptarmigan Country Club is a Jack Nicklaus design private golf course located in Northern Colorado close to Fort Collins. We are looking for quality individual to keep our equipment fleet in top operating condition at all times in the most efficient manner possible. The following are the job responsibilities. Design and implement of a preventative maintenance for all equipment and keeping on schedule Repairs on all equipment and vehicles not operating as designed. Proper sharpening and adjustments to all mowing equipment to ensure the best cut possible. The ordering, stocking and inventory of all parts and accessories. Accurate and timely record keeping for all equipment. Off season grinding, rebuilding and repairing of equipment to be prepared for the next season. Training employees in the proper operation, maintenance and safe operation of equipment. This will happen in conjunction with other training staff. Reporting equipment abuse to the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistants who will take appropriate actions. Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistants on current equipment condition to establish repair and replacement needs for budgeting purposes. Fill in as needed to preform maintenance or mowing tasks on the golf course during periods of short staff. Assist in winter snow removal.
