| Experience Requirements: |
Previous Assistant experience preferred but will consider recent graduate with strong work history. Must have the experience to complete the folowing tasks: Assist in the development of turf management programs and execution thereof. Assist in the development of golf course budget and monitoring thereof. Directly supervise the routine maintenance functions, including scheduling, work assignments, equipment distribution, and be held accountable for it. Directly supervise all improvement work and projects on golf course as assigned by superintendent. Assist in scheduling operation and maintenance of irrigation system. Directly supervise and or perform fertilization, spraying, various labor tasks and cultural activities on all turf areas as assigned by superintendent. Assist in training of all crewmembers as required for proper work performance and safety. Assist in the record keeping of weather, work, spray, fertilization, cultural and other data as required in designated log books and forms. Work under light supervision and maintain operational standards. Be on call at all hours for emergencies. |

Ideal Candidate must Have a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. Be responsible and able to motivate people. Obtain and maintain a New York State Pesticide Applicators License. Be willing to put in whatever hours are necessary to complete job. Spanish a plus. |

$50,000-$55,000 |

The Fishers Island Club is a private 18 hole seaside links course designed by Seth Raynor in 1927. Sixteen of the eighteen holes are located directly on Long Island Sound, and water comes into play on all but two holes. The Course currently ranked #9 in the Country by Golf Digest and is ranked #18 in the Country and #30 in the World by Golf Magazine. |
