By Dos Rios Golf Club, - updated March 7 - Gunnison, Colorado
Dos Rios Golf Club is an 18 hole semi-private club. We are located in Gunnison Colorado in the middle of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Gunnison county is an outdoorsmen's paradise with gold medal fishing, hunting, mountain biking and hiking within minutes of town, and the Crested Butte Ski Resort is just 30 miles away. Gunnison is also home to Western Colorado University. Under direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, the crew foreman/irrigation technician will be involved in all aspects of the maintenance department. We are currently in the process of a complete irrigation renovation and are installing a Rainbird IC system with HDPE pipe and a Cirrus Pro operating system. Completion of the project is scheduled to be around August 2024. This is a seasonal position that would run roughly from mid March through mid November. This is a good entry/mid level position for someone looking to get their foot in the door of the golf course maintenance profession. The crew foreman/irrigation technicians main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Irrigation repair and maintenance Crew training and supervision Some fertilizer/chemical applications Assistance to the equipment technician if necessary Project lead and supervision Basic daily maintenance such as cup cutting, mowing, etc...
