Seasonal Intern
Martis Camp is currently seeking self motivated, detail oriented candidates to apply for an internship position available for this upcoming 2020 season. This position will work under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and the Senior Assistant Superintendent. Jobs will include but are not limited to daily course setup, mower operations, fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application, irrigation maintenance and repair, hand watering, topdressing, and aerification. Either 3 or 6 month internships are available and can begin as early as April. Please send résumé and cover letter when applying.
Martis Camp is a private residential community located in north Lake Tahoe. The Tom Fazio designed golf course has Penn A4 putting surfaces, Dominant Plus bentgrass tees, and Kentucky bluegrass fairways.
Educational Requirements
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a 2 or 4 year degree program in Golf Course Management, Agronomy, or another related field.
Experience Requirements
Previous golf course experience is a plus but not required, we are willing to train individuals passionate about pursueing a career in golf course management.
Special Requirements
Self motivated, aspiring turfgrass professional able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
