Two BASF products available in larger package size
Two products from BASF Professional Turf and Ornamentals are available in new packaging.
Insignia fungicide now is available in a 36-pound drum and Pendulum AquaCap herbicide is available for a limited time in a 110-gallon drum.
Insignia fungicide in a 36-pound drum is available during BASF’s early order program and will be offered year-round. Pendulum AquaCap herbicide, labeled for control of more than 40 broadleaf and grassy weeds, will be available in the 110-gallon drum only through the early order period, which ends Dec. 11.
Jacobsen recently received the Environmental Excellence Award from the Environmental Division of Charlotte-Mecklenburg (N.C) Utilities for 2008.
The award is presented annually by the utility to companies that are 90 percent compliant reporting and monitoring discharges into the municipal sewer system. To be eligible, industrial and commercial facilities must obtain wastewater permits that contain limits on the amount of pollutants that they can discharge.
In other company news, a longtime fixture first at Ransomes and later Jacobsen has retired from the turf business.
Vollie Carr served 11 years as Jacobsen’s tournament support specialist after the company bought Ransomes in 1998.
Carr, who entered the turf business in 1970 and joined Ransomes some 10 years later, will continue to support Jacobsen’s professional tournament operations as a consultant throughout the rest of this year and in 2010, the company said.
