Pam Charbonneau, DCS & Associates: Managing invasive European crane flies on golf courses

Date:  Aug 17 2017
European crane flies larvae (a.k.a. leatherjackets) have been a pest in turfgrass in the Pacific Northwest for decades. Since the late 1990s and early 2000s, they have become an increasing problem in Ontario and Quebec in Canada and from Michigan through New York and into New England

In this TurfNet University Webinar, Pam Charbonneau of DCS & Associates will discuss management tips related to this increasingly troublesome pest.

This presentation will include history, description, damage and life cycles of the two most common species (Tipula paludosa and Tipula oleracea), as well as monitoring techniques and management timing and options.
Registration:   Open to everyone, free!
