Grovers Visit Ireland: Day 1
To anyone who grew up in Cambridge, NY residents of Ash Grove are called Grovers. We cherish this name and even to those who live in Cambridge it is said that Ash Grove is a different way of life. Needless to say we do not leave very much. For my parents to get on a plane and cross the Atlantic Ocean was a lot. In 25 years of marriage they had never flown together. On Tuesday August 5th my parents, Peter and Amy, landed in Ireland. They quickly came down to Thomastown to catch up on some sleep before I got off work. How glad I was to see some family after 3 months abroad.
Over the next week we shared some great times traveling all over Ireland, dad even rented a car and drove on the left. Luckily we did not get much rain even though Ireland was getting the end of a hurricane. God blessed us throughout the trip. For the next seven days I will be sharing the journey that we had. I cannot thank TurfNet and Jacobsen enough for the opportunity to intern abroad allowing for amazing experiences in turf and travel. Check back tomorrow for a blog on our trip to Woodstock Gardens & Arboretum.
