The Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Dornick Hills Golf & Country Club and ensuring the integrity of its grounds. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a safe and high-quality environment for golfers, help set and manage a budget, provide guidance and direction to staff, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The candidate will develop and maintain techniques and soil treatments used for the healthy growth of turf, shrubs, plants and other greenery, including the application of pesticides. Assists with developing procedures, materials, and safety standards and proper safety methods. Operates equipment and tools, including turf equipment, irrigation systems, and high pressure pumps. The candidate will also need to evaluate the golf course, work perfomance, maintain daily attendance records, and provide disciplinary actions for assigned staff as required. Duties and Responsibilities Direct and manage operations, including maintenance and repair of greens, tees, fairways, and other elements of the course Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive maintenance and improvement plan for the golf course and its grounds Monitor and evaluate the condition of the course and identify areas of improvement Ensure compliance with safety standards and local, state, and federal laws and regulations Develop and manage a budget to ensure the efficient operation of the golf course Train and manage staff Evaluate and implement new technologies and techniques to improve the golf course and its operations Provide customer service to golfers and other guests

Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to: Primary Responsibilities All primary requirements of Turfgrass Technician II Make all spray applications to greens, tees, fairways, golf course and club ground areas. If there is no spraying work to be done, this position shall perform golf course maintenance related tasks Possess and maintain a Virginia pesticide certificate through opportunities at pacc Secondary Responsibilities All secondary responsibilities of Turfgrass Technician II. Aerify greens, fairways, and tees with specialized equipment. Apply Fertilizer/Plant protectants under supervision of license holder when requested Utilize all personal protective equipment when necessary Operate tractor mounted implements. Wilt watch greens. Assist with special projects. Perform related tasks as required. Performance Standards Maintain and operate equipment in a safe, efficient manner. Accurately finish jobs in a reasonable amount of time. Carry a radio when one is provided by PACC GCM Team leadership Maintain an excellent attendance record. Wear uniforms properly. Report any unsafe conditions or acts to the most available supervisor. Report equipment problems to Equipment Manager or supervisor. Assist in keeping a clean, safe shop and work environment. Check fuel and oil levels prior to leaving shop each day Refuel equipment at the end of each use. Turn off engines when refueling equipment. Exercise proper etiquette when around club members and guests anywhere on club properly.

Currently looking to fill the position of Assistant Mechanic at Oak Hill Country Club. The Assistant Mechanic is a full-time, hourly employee under the direct supervision of the Head Mechanic and Manager of Golf Courses and Grounds. The Assistant Mechanic works together with the Head Mechanic to perform the necessary preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure that the fleet of golf course equipment is operating properly. This position would include but would not be limited to the following duties: Duties: Responsible for the daily adjustment, grinding, and preventative maintenance of all walking reel mowers. Responsible for all repairs and maintenance of two cycle equipment and assist the head mechanic with other equipment repairs/ maintenance when needed. Requirements: A working knowledge of equipment maintenance. Individuals must have the ability to work independently and in all weather conditions. Must be a dependable individual that takes pride in their work. Previous golf course experience with maintaining, adjusting, and grinding of walk behind reel mowers is a plus. Seeking an experienced irrigation technician or assistant. Locate and fix leaking/weaping sprinkler heads. Fix leaking main and lateral lines. Replace leaking and broken valves on lateral and main lines. Identify and water localized dry spots. Identify wet spots and coordinate irrigation accordingly.

The Grand Forks Country Club is looking for a turf mechanic who will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance of the entire turf equipment fleet. The applicant will be responsible for setting up all mower reels on a daily basis, making sure the units have a sharp cut and are at the correct mowing height. The applicant will also be responsible for shop upkeep, ordering parts, and maintaining an up-to-date service record. The equipment mechanic will also be involved in some daily golf course operations. This will be a year-round position and hours may vary day to day. This position does not require nights or weekend work. Some duties performed: · Cutting unit adjustment · Reel and bedknife sharpening · Equipment preventative maintenance · Engine repair · Electrical troubleshooting · Parts stocking and ordering · Judgement of mechanical performance · Ensuring safe and proper working order of all systems

The Assistant Superintendent position will work alongside the Golf Course Superintendent and will report directly to the Director of Agronomy. The role will consist of all facets of the maintenance and care of the 18-hole golf course, short course, driving range, and practice facilities. Duties will include but not limited to, staff scheduling, daily course set-up, tournament set-up, irrigation programming, the application of fertilizers and pesticides, management of SubAir Systems and TurfBreeze fans, staff training, and team building.

The position will assist in directing, training, and supervising the golf course maintenance staff. The position will also perform maintenance, irrigation, and/or IPM tasks, as needed, to help our team meet and exceed our membership's expectations.
