SUMMARY Directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course landscape areas and the golf courses including tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, cart paths and rough. Maintains playing conditions to the highest possible standards set forth by following the TwinEagles standard operating procedures manual. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees all course construction and maintenance. Develops and maintains drainage, irrigation and watering systems. Directs subordinate supervisors on tasks to be carried out to maintain golf courses in pristine playing condition. Inspects courses regularly to evaluate and recommend improvements. Coordinates applicable work with outside contractors. Ensures labor and costs remain within budgetary guidelines. Meets with Director of Agronomy and Director of Golf to discuss conditions of facilities, maintenance plans and scheduled events. Conducts weekly staff and safety meetings to ensure that safety standards are met. Attends turf conferences, equipment shows, workshops and other educational programs to keep current knowledge of technical and turf innovations and changes that could affect the department's operations. OTHER FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Agronomy. Complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and ensures corrective action is completed in a timely manner. Ensures employees are properly trained on specific job, equipment and documents equipment training. Open line of communication with the Director of Agronomy keeping them informed of any significant matters.
