The club has hosted the 1999 U.S. Junior Amateur and the Pennsylvania State Open in 2014 and 2023. CCY also hosts many local and national qualifies throughout the season and is inquiring about another USGA event in the future. Country Club of York is in the process of working on a master plan with golf course architect Andrew Green. This plan involves completing one major project every fall from the master plan. The most recent project was a major bunker renovation that was completed in the Fall of 2022. This years project will be the renovation of our thirteenth tee complex. This includes building three new tees along with new irrigation. The Country Club of York team is guided by five core values: respect, teamwork, integrity, service, and safety. Essential Functions: Assists in planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees and fairways; schedules work and supervises the employees and the use of the equipment. Instructs equipment operations on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment Supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment Ensures cleanliness and workmanship of pesticide equipment, proper record keeping and training of Interns. Supervises and participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems. Assists in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and may also modify the daily work schedule based on professional interpretation. Assists as project foreman. Development of staff for career advancement. Perform all other tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor. The Assistant supervises: AIT’s, Greens keepers and Greens Department Interns
