Enjoy the Rocky Mountains as you learn and grow in your turf/golf course knowledge with the team at The Club at Cordillera.  The Club at Cordillera is pleased to announce openings on our golf course maintenance team. We are now accepting resumes for the position of Second Assistant Superintendent at Cordillera.   

The Club at Cordillera consists of three 18 hole championship golf courses located near Vail, Colorado. The Valley Course designed by Mr. Tom Fazio and built in 1997 sits at 7300 ft. elevation. The Mountain Course designed by Mr. Hale Irwin and built in 1994 sits at nearly 8500 ft. elevation. Lastly, the Summit Course designed by Mr. Jack Nicklaus and built in 2001 sits at 9200 ft. elevation. All three courses consist of bentgrass greens and tees. Fairways and rough consist of Kentucky Bluegrass/Ryegrass/Poa Annua.

Cordillera is a Troon Golf managed facility. Troon Golf is the largest golf course management company in the world and continues to grow and seek out new, talented individuals to manage its golf course maintenance operations. Educational Requirements

The qualified candidates will have a degree, 2 or 4 year, in a relevant field as well as a solid work experience as it pertains to common golf course procedures.

Successful individuals will possess a strong work ethic, self-starter mentality, a team oriented mindset, and a positive attitude!  An ability to take instruction and follow guidance set before you will be key attributes of the candidate brought on board with our staff. A high level of detail recognition, organization, communication and solid leadership skills will be required to be successful in this career opportunity. In this environment our growing season is short. Thus, we have a limited amount of time to push good turf conditions to meet our member's and owner's expectations. 40-60 hour work weeks will be required leading up to opening, through the growing season, and  winterization of the golf course.
