The Landings Club - Oakridge Course, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Golf Course Maintenance Professional to be our next Assistant Superintendent! -Responsible for a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction.

-Assists in supervising repairs and maintenance of all mechanic and motorized equipment.

-Instructs Equipment Operators in the safe, efficient operation and care of equipment.

-Assists in supervising and maintenance of pumps, irrigation and drainage systems.

-Supervises the daily preparation of the golf course, i.e. hole location, tee markers, rakes, hazard and out of bounds markers.

-Performs sprayer and fertilizer spreaders calibration.

-Assists in spraying pesticides, applying fertilizers on greens, tees and fairways.

-Inspects turf, shrubs, and other outdoor Club areas to assess pesticide and fertilizer needs and applies as needed to maintain excellent condition of grounds and golf course.

-Responds proactively to any needs that arise from members, employees, or guests.

-Maintains inventory of products, chemical storage areas and mixing area in compliance with state regulations.

-Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment or notifies mechanic of possible problems, as appropriate

-Represents the club with the utmost of professionalism.

-Maintains accurate records on all equipment.

-Trains on and enforces all safety policies and procedures.

-Follows safety guidelines described in the operating procedures and generally practices behavior that ensures the safety of the employee, co-workers, members, and guests.

-Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and/or holidays.

-Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.

-Performs all other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

A minimum of two to four year degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil sciences desired.

Experience Requirements

Working knowledge and applicability of construction, establishment and maintenance practices on golf course.

Special Requirements

Must be able to obtain a Georgia certification and/or license in pesticide usage within 90 days of hire. (We have/provide material to learn from for Georgia Pest Exam.)

Must have valid driver’s license to operate Club vehicle.
