Morris County Golf Club established in 1894, is a private golf club in northern New Jersey and designed by Seth Raynor. The club recently completed $8 million in renovations on the golf course, clubhouse, and paddle tennis facility, with a new maintenance facility in the near future, as well as many other projects. This is an excellent opportunity for the right leader looking to take the next step in his or her career to continue to learn, sharpen their skills, and prepare for a head superintendents position.
Candidates must have completed a 2 or 4 year Turfgrass/Plant and Soil Science degree
The leader we are looking for must have at least a minimum of 2-3 years of a supervisory role preferably at a private golf club.
The assistant superintendent will work closely and communicate with the superintendent on a daily basis, maintaining the golf course at its highest level.
The assistant must lead by example both on and off the golf course.
Candidates applying must be familiar with planning and executing daily schedules for staff, assistants, chemical and fertilizer applications as well as irrigation repairs and events.
The individual hired should be comfortable in training staff, as well as communicating with other club department heads, members and their guests.
