Wycliffe Golf & Country Club, an exclusive multi-course private club in the heart of Palm Beach County, is searching for a highly motivated, team orientated individual for the position of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent of our West Golf Course.

The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Agronomy. Under the Superintendent's guidance, the Assistant Superintendent directs and participates in the practices and management of all areas of the golf course. He or she will assist in the direction of the staff and employees, and also completes related work as required. The assistant superintendent may serve in the superintendent's capacity during his/her absence.

Warm-Season turfgrass and ultradwarf experience is a plus, but not required.

Schedules assignments and supervises the employees and proper use of  equipment.

Must have knowledge and experience of golf course operations, equipment, fertilization/chemical application, and personal management.

Highly motivated, team oriented individual that has the ability to work well with others, including but not limited to multi-cultural staff.

Demonstrates strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills, personal skills, and a passion for golf course advancement and becoming a Golf Course Superintendent.

Required to work variety of shifts as needed that include nights, weekends and/or holidays. 

We will be completing a full renovation of our practice/short game area while making adjustments to the 17th hole this summer with Kipp Schulties Golf Course Design .

 

 

Educational Requirements

Two to four year degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant sciences, or turfgrass certificate. 

Experience Requirements

One year or more of progressive golf course management experience.

Special Requirements

Valid driver’s license

GCSAA Class C member

Must have or be able to obtain a Florida pesticide license within 90 days
