Display expertise in maintaining, trouble-shooting, and correcting quality of cut.
Proficiently manage the daily operations of the shop ensuring timely sharpening of cutting units, equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance.
The ability to plan ahead, and communicate with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents is key to the success of this position.
Maintain and correct issues with all machines used in golf course maintenance. Including but not limited to: small engines, diesel engines, tractors, all sizes and types of reel and rotary mowers, gas and electric utility vehicles, hydraulics, sprayers, rollers, bobcat, forklift, topdressers, and aerators.
Ability to effectively communicate with and direct staff to properly operate and care for equipment. Will have the full support and help of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for the fleet of maintenance machines.
Ability to manage a well-funded R&M budget, in addition to inventory of parts and supplies. Purchasing responsibilities include all parts and supplies needed for equipment maintenance, Equipment Technician PPE’s, supplies for shop R&M, gas and diesel fuel.
Maintain records of repairs and preventative maintenance.
Repair bays and parts room must be clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Additionally, must display leadership through arriving on time daily, a good work ethic, and time management.
