Fairview Country club is a private country club with an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.There are also 12 tennis courts, 3 paddle courts, a swimming pool complex, and a practice range. The large clubhouse also includes a hotel for members and their guests. The Club completed an irrigation installation in 2012 and is preparing to begin implementing a Master Plan with Rees Jones in the fall of 2019 starting with Better Billy Bunkers; rounds per year 10,000; annual maintenance budget $2,200,000.
Responsibilities include: Work with the golf course superintendent and the other assistant superintendent in scheduling, leading, and training the grounds crew in all grounds maintenance activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for pesticide and fertilizer applications, irrigation system scheduling and maintenance, small construction projects, snow removal, and Audubon program participation.
Five assistant superintendents have moved on to head superintendent positions from Fairview in the last eight years.
All candidates should have a turf or related degree.
All candidates should have at least three years of experience working on a golf course as an intern and/or second assistant.
