Located 30 minutes north of Boston, Myopia Hunt Club was formed in 1875. Designed by Herbert Leeds, the first nine was built in 1896 and second nine in 1901. The U.S. Open has been held four times at the club. Myopia also has the oldest continually running polo fields in the country. Myopia Hunt Club is currently ranked a 29th in the country on Golfweeks top 100 classic courses. Primary focus of the internship is to assist the student in career development. During our internship interns will work closely with our management team to become proficient in daily course preparation, agronomic practices, irrigation repair and maintenance, chemical/fertilizer calibration and application, record keeping, hand watering and water management. Successful interns will have an opportunity for post-graduate advancement within the company.
Enrolled in a Turf Management program or closely related field but not required. We will teach any student that is willing to learn.
We will train the right individual.
This internship will provide the applicant the opportunity to build a strong skill set to further their career in the turf management industry. We are seeking students who are highly motivated in the turf industry, posses a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Candidate must have a great attitude and be a hard-working team player willing to learn and do what it takes to provide top level conditions on a daily basis.
