Louisville Country Club is one of the premiere clubs in the state. Sitting in the heart of Louisville Kentucky, home of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Bourbon.  Louisville is the largest metro city in the state with plenty of things to do and see. Louisville Country Club was established in 1908 and designed by Thomas Bendelow and later work in the 1920s by Walter Travis.  LCC went under a full renovation with design by Keith Foster in 2004  and reopened in 2005 with L-93 Bent grass Greens, Tees, Approaches, Meyer Zoysia grass Fairways, and Fescue Roughs. The Senior Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and is involved in all aspects of golf course operations. Under the Superintendent’s supervision, the  Senior Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will head up and carry out the overall maintenance of the golf course. Educational Requirements

2 or 4 years of higher education in Golf and Turf Grass Management or a related field. Spanish speaking abilities and Bent grass experience are a plus

Experience Requirements

We are currently looking for an individual that is self- motivated with experience as a  Assistant Golf Course Superintendent preferably from a high end club.  In this position the candidate would be responsible for but not limited to:

Calibrating and applying fertilizer and pesticides

Irrigation trouble shooting and repairs

Moisture management / hand watering (previous with cool season grass especially Bent grass is a plus)

Operation of all types of maintenance equipment including but not limited to mowing rolling tractors sprayers

Running weekend crew, morning prep, course set up

Daily crew management including some payroll and scheduling of seasonal staff

Assist with, budgeting for annual maintenance budget, long range plan and capital improvement budget, along with annual and long range capital equipment budget

Special Requirements

Must be able to obtain a Pesticide license
