I’m looking for an individual who has a passion for this industry, takes initiative, eager to learn, takes pride in his/her work, can act and present them self as a professional,  and eventually can secure their own Golf Course Superintendent position in the near future.

 

Club Information :  Private 18 hole championship golf course, built in 1972, designed by famed architect,

       Desmond Muirhead.  Greens are amended “push-up” native soil with 60/40 bent-poa, tees

       and fairways are a bentgrass / poa mix with some ryegrass. 57 sand traps.  Automated irrigation and  

       pumping systems.  Good assortment of maintenance equipment with a replacement program being

       implemented.  Many projects are in the planning stages to improve agronomics, turf health, design,

       and playability.  Oronoque is owned and operated by CBIGG / CBON International Golf Management. The

       company has 27 properties in its portfolio throughout the United States, that are either owned or

       under management contract. There is excellent growth potential within the company!!!

 

This is an excellent opportunity for the individual that’s serious about their future goal in becoming a Golf Course Superintendent.  Much can be learned here, as well as progression within the company.

Educational Requirements

2 to 4-year Turfgrass Management Degree, or closely related field considered

CT State Pesticide License held or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment

Experience Requirements

Prior Golf Course Maintenance experience is helpful, but will train for desired expectations and success

Responsibilities include, but not limited to -  staff supervision, scheduling, assist in budget and inventory

       control,  involvement in maintenance and management programs, pesticide and fertilizer

       applications, golf course set-up, irrigation operation and repair .

Special Requirements

Have the ability to lift up to 50# of product
