North Hempstead Country Club is an A.W. Tillinghast designed golf course sitting on 110 acres, 30 minutes outside of NYC on the north shore of Long Island. The club offers its members a championship caliber 18 hole golf course, 3 har-tru tennis courts and a full service clubhouse. A brand new driving range was constructed in 2018  and in-house fairway bunker rebuilds are ongoing.  Over the last 10 years we completed numerous in-house and contracted projects and are always striving to make the golf course and grounds better. The right candidate will play an integral role in the daily maintenance of the golf course and will work closely with the superintendent and current assistant. You will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance, construction and management. This will include but is not limited too: fertilizer and chemical application/record keeping/budgeting, water management via hand held moisture meters, in-ground soil sensors and a Toro LYNX irrigation system , agronomic planning and execution, daily course set up, team management and leadership, membership communication and  project participation, along with anything else that is needed to maintain a high standard of conditions. Educational Requirements

2-4 year degree in turf or a related field of study.

Experience Requirements

Experience working on a golf course with a desire to someday become a superintendent.  Will consider recent college graduates and graduates in the spring of 2019.
