The Pattie Group, Inc. is searching for a motivated, dependable and hardworking team player to join our company as a Spray Technician. This position is for someone who is a go-getter and wants to have a long-term career path with a 50-year-old company. No experience is necessary. We will teach you all you need to know including training and testing for the State Certified Pesticide Applicator’s license.
Job Responsibilities & Duties Include:
Application of fertilizer, pesticides, and fungicides to lawns and/or ornamental plants
Identification of common pest, disease, and cultural issues
Operation of spreaders and spray equipment including ride-on spreaders, mechanical sprayers and hand operated pumps
Reading and interpreting pesticide labels
Answering basic questions that clients may have concerning an application
Working in a safe manner at all times
Maintaining clear and accurate application records
Be willing and able to work 8-10 hours per day, 5-6 days per week.
Work independently to complete daily tasks
Pass a pre-employment background and driving record check.
Pass a required pre-employment drug screen.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Forty-five hours of required education every year (industry and non-industry related)
