The Country Club of Scranton is seeking a goal driven industry professional to assist the Golf Course Superintendent and Lead Assistant Superintendent in the execution of all operational goals within our Grounds Department.
CCS is a 27-hole private facility located just a few minutes north of downtown Scranton. The "Old Course" was designed by legendary architect Walter Travis and opened for play in 1927. The "New 9" was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan in 1988. Through continuous course improvements and strong agronomic programs CCS continues to elevate its status within the industry.

The Country Club of Scranton has also hosted many State and Local Championships including; Pennsylvania State Open Championship in 1933 and 1992 - Pennsylvania Amateur Championship in 1997, 2003 and 2015 -Pennsylvania State Women's Golf Association Championship in 1999 - Art Wall Jr. Memorial Championship in 2009, Pennsylvania Four Ball Championship in 2011 -Pennsylvania Senior Am Championship in 2013 andThe R. Jay Sigel Match Play Championship in 2017.
In 2019 CCS will host the Atlantic East Conference Championship, USGA US Open Qualifier and Pennsylvania Golf Association Art Wall Jr. Memorial Championship.
2 or 4 year Degree/Certificate from an accredited University.
A minimum of two seasons golf course maintenance experience. Experience applying plant protectants and fertilizer is desired but not necessary.
