Spray/Applications Technician
The Assistant Superintendent position is a full time year round position for an individual looking to grow his or her career. The applicant will assist with planning day-to-day operations along with the Golf Course Superintendent. The individual will be held to a higher standard than anyone on the crew and needs to be detail oriented. The person will help with many different aspects throughout the year. Those tasks will include a large majority of spraying, but will also involve mowing, fertilizing, aerification, course set up and most importantly being a team player. The individual needs to be able to be ready for any situation and have a good attitude to all other crew members. Individuals who have irrigation repair experience or who are bilingual are preferred. During the offseason the individual will help clear native and environmental areas, underbrush wood lines and tree removal on the golf course. The individual will help with snow removal in and around the parking lots and all private roads on the property. Therefore, individuals with plowing experience are preferred. Educational Requirements
Applicant would have 2-4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field preferred. However, applicants without formal education will be considered.
Experience Requirements
Applicant who have successfully completed an internship and or 1 or more years on a golf course preferred. CT Operators license is imperative. Applicants with CT operators license preferred.
