Wannamoisett Country Club is a classic Donald Ross designed course and has been ranked as one of the Top 50 courses in the nation by Golf Magazine, Golf Week, and Golf Digest. Wannamoisett hosted the PGA Championship in 1931 and welcomes the world's best amateur golfers to our annual Northeast Amateur Invitational Tournament.
At Wannamoisett we pride ourselves on providing our interns with an experience that will prepare them to advance in the industry. You will gain valuable experience in water management, chemical application, crew management, irrigation repair/troubleshooting, and intensive cultural practices. During your time at Wannamoisett you will work closely with the assistants and superintendent learning all aspects over course and crew management and will be exposed to what it takes to successfully manage championship conditions throughout the season.
Our number one goal of the internship program is to provide you with the knowledge and ability to successfullytransition into an assistant position upon graduation. Our past interns have moved onto assistant positions at highly ranked courses throughout the nation and also have been promoted from within and have had successful careers at Wannamoisett Country Club. We will provide interns with all the tools necessary to move up in the turfgrass industry.
Wannamoisett is located just outside of Providence, Rhode Island. The city has a young and vibrant community centered around the multiple universities in town. Providence is home to some the best culinary experiences the nation has to offer. Besides being a great city itself, Providence is within minutes of some of the most beautiful and iconic beaches in the nation and is a short train ride into Boston to easily catch games at Fenway or to explore the historic city.

No experience needed, we are willing to teach and work with individuals who are excited and eager to learn
Applicants are expected to work 45-65 hours a week, be eager, energetic, motivated, and willing to learn
