KOHR Golf Center opened its state-of-the-art practice facility in September of 2017. KOHR Golf Center is a public golf practice facility that offers high-end instruction through private lessons, adult and junior clinics, and KOHR Academy. KOHR Golf also offers fitness, custom club fitting, and memberships. Over the past two years, we have grown in, stabilized the turf, and established a beautiful facility that includes a 12-acre driving range complete with rough, fairways, bent grass target greens, and sand traps. KOHR Golf also has a 2-acre, professionally designed and built, short game area that includes 2 championship caliber USGA putting greens and sand traps, as well as a grass tee box. Finally, we have one additional USGA public putting green. Our facility also includes a few acres of additional surrounding areas that includes some planting beds and native areas.
Play a key role in running the maintenance and operations staff at KOHR Golf. The superintendent should be a highly motivated individual with a good work ethic and excellent leadership skills. The superintendent should have experience managing/hiring both full and part-time workers within an annual budget. The superintendent should be a motivated self starter with a great eye for detail. The superintendent should have extensive experience in turf management/growth, a pesticide license, experience with fertilizer and chemical applications, pest control, maintenance of a brand new irrigation system, and maintaining equipment and machinery. The applicant should have some construction experience and the ability to maintain and repair all areas of the facility including-minor plumbing, well maintenance, and minor carpentry. The superintendent should possess good communication skills, experience with technology, and the ability to be a team player.
Turf maintenance and management of a high-end practice facility. Including maintaining the greens, rough, fairway, bunkers, and surrounding areas. Understanding of irrigation programs, and establishing all fertilization and chemical application programs. Property management- including general maintenance and upkeep of the entire facility which includes both indoor and outdoor spaces.
College Degree; certificate in turf management field.
Applicants should have significant experience as a superintendent/assistant superintendent of a successful golf facility. Experience must include a vast knowledge of turf maintenance, staff training and management, budget management, as well as general maintenance experience including snow removal, general carpentry, landscaping, and other minor repairs.
Pesticide license; budget and staff management; experience with technology a plus; clean driver’s license.
