As an Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Leading and developing a team of 3 Service Managers and 25 Lawn Care Technicians
Acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed with staff and procedures
Develop the company’s next great managers by mentoring, training, and developing teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes
Holding staff accountable through a progressive discipline process
Working directly with the Quality Control Manager to ensure standard work procedures are being followed by both Service Managers and Lawn Care Technicians
Partnering with other department heads to ensure cross-collaboration of best practice and instilling a culture of innovation
Developing and supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all staff
Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives to improve customer retention
Upholding company Core Values throughout the Operations Department
Overseeing all direct expenses to ensure company financial goals are hit including payroll, product usage, and vehicle/equipment maintenance
Managing inventory and ensuring calibration goals are executed by your team
Interviewing and on-boarding new employees with a commitment to creating a “World Class First Day” experience
Manage and direct the service department to meet and exceed customer service requirements for new and existing Customers
Develop and implement on-going programs and training necessary to ensure that all technicians and service managers are aligned with the goals of the department
Plan production routes for each work day and allocate work appropriately so as to ensure round deadlines are met
Provide a friendly, clean, well maintained state-of-the-art facility for staff
Perform other related duties as required to meet the goals of the company

Both Brandon Burns and Luke McGhee come from a Golf Course Management background having worked over 25 combined years maintaining Championship level private and public golf courses throughout Chicago and Wisconsin. Dan Davis (landscape architecture) and Michael Brown (25 years in lawn care sales management) provide a unique point of view as both were brought on as managers and then offered ownership opportunities after exceeding expectations.
