Wilson Country Club is a full-service country club which boasts a fine golf course designed by Willard Byrd in 1974 and renovated under the direction of John LaFoy in 2005. The course plays to Just under 6900 yards from the tips and is wall to wall 419 bermuda with the exception of the greens which are A-1/A-4 bentgrass. We maintain it to the highest level possible within our budgetary constraints and man hours. The duties of the job include but are not limited to record keeping, irrigation repairs, pesticide applications, course setup, horticulture pruning, and fertilizing. A successful applicant must have a strong attention to detail and work ethic as well as being self-motivated. All applicant must have their N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services pesticide applicators license or obtain it within 6 months of accepting the position. Applicants must have a minimum of a 2-year associates degree in horticulture or turfgrass management.
Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years prior golf course maintenance experience.
