Victoria National Golf Club is seeking a qualified, highly motivated, team oriented individual for Assistant in training position. This role will work closely with the assistants and superintendent to help direct and participate in a diverse range of activities involved in daily maintenance of the golf course and surrounding grounds.
Victoria National is a Tom Fazio designed golf course located in Southern Indiana. Once an abandoned strip mine, Victoria National has become one of the nation's premier private clubs. Since opening in 1998, Victoria National has received numerous accolades from golf digest such as, currently 43th "America's Greatest 100 Golf Courses," 83rdin “Golf Digest top 100 World” and "Best in State." Victoria National features vigorously maintained L-93 bentgrass on greens, tees, and fairways, and a bluegrass/fescue mix in the rough. We are proud to be the host site of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship once again this year.

As a Network employee one has the ability to shift within the group of clubs for cultivation, tournament support and when job advancement opportunities occur. Our team is seeking to mold the right candidate into a successful Assistant and long term successful Superintendent. Experience will be gained while working directly with our team and a strong emphasis will be placed on training you in the following areas: responsibility for a specific area in golf course agronomy department, effectively running small crews, time management, safe and proper chemical applications, water management that coincides with championship playing conditions, understanding the mechanical portion of golf course management with time in the shop.
AIT’s will be given multiple responsibilities and held accountable throughout their tenure. We are looking for AIT’s that are hard-working, possess positive attitudes, a willingness to learn, team oriented, and have a desire to excel in the turf industry. AIT’s will be expected to work long hours with physical work in various conditions.
Responsibilities given to AIT’s include but are not limited to: proper water management practices, pesticide and fertilizer applications and calibration methods, course set up, small crew supervision, daily golf course preparations, and golf course construction.
