Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club is seeking an Assistant Superintendent. This position is ideal for recent turf graduates or an Assistant in Training looking to progress in the industry. Candidates should be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, and be detail-oriented. The Assistant Superintendent will work directly with the Golf Course Superintendent to develop and implement short and long term plans. This is a hands-on position and responsibilities will include spraying, fertilizing, course set-up, equipment operation, water management, irrigation repair, leading and developing staff, etc. Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club was established in 1917 and is one of the most well-respected clubs in western Kentucky. We have a growing membership and are making many improvements including the construction of a new practice facility, cart path additions, and clubhouse expansions. The greens were converted to tifeagle bermuda in 2019. We have mid-iron bermuda fairways and a combination of bermuda and zoysia tees. Candidates should possess or be able to obtain their Kentucky pesticide applicator's license within 90 days of employment.
