Established in 1921 and designed by Walter Travis, Spring Brook Country Club is a family oriented, private club dedicated to providing an outstanding golf course and excellence in social and other sporting activities in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere while preserving the rich history of the club.
SBCC is currently in the beginning stages of green, tee, fairway and bunker renovation project with architect Ian Andrews of Ian Andrews Golf Design. Currently, we have renovated 2 tee boxes and performed 2 green expansions. This fall we plan on renovating a handful of bunkers along with another tee box. In 2021 it will be our 100th year anniversary and host to the NJ State Open. This will be the 7th State Open the club has hosted along with two NJ State Amateurs and one NJ Senior PGA.
Renovation work will be mostly performed in-house along side our architect, shaper and small crew. The individual who is hired will not only be involved in all aspects of the renovation but assisting with the development of a maintenance program, culture practices and management style. I encourage input from assistants to aid in the productivity of the crew and maintenance program. Also, this individual will help with managing the crew on a daily basis and head projects during the renovation period. This is a great opportunity to advance one's career in all aspects of golf course maintenance.
Degree/Certificate from an accredited Turfgrass Management Program or related field
3-5 years of golf course experience is preferred, has or willing to obtain a pesticide and fertilizer license within a reasonable time period.
Spring Brook Country Club is looking for a hard-working and energetic individual who wants to succeed in the industry. Applicants with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and wiliness to succeed is a must.
