The Morris County Golf Club Turf Care Team is looking to add a new member.  This is a great opportunity for someone just finishing school or recent internship and looking to advance their career in our industry.  Morris County Golf Club was established in 1894 and designed by Seth Raynor and C.B. MacDonald. MCGC was an early member of the USGA and the first New Jersey venue to host a national championship. Some fabled names in the sport that have been associated with the Clubs' history: Harry Vardon, Ted Ray, the immortal Bobby Jones, and Chick Evans to name a few.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should have completed a Turfgrass management program of some kind, Winter Program, Associates Degree, Bachelors, etc.

Experience Requirements

Well organized and efficient. 

Team focused, goal-oriented and willing to take on details and implementation.

Comfortable in an inclusive, detailed and innovative work environment.

 

Special Requirements

Implements proper hand watering practices on putting green surfaces and surrounds.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and record keeping as required by local, state and federal laws.

Proven history of providing exceptional golfing conditions and managing all aspects of the golf course, landscape and staff at the highest level.

Assists in planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees and fairways; schedules work and supervises the employees and the use of the equipment.

Instructs equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment; supervises and participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation systems, central computer, and drainage systems.
