Valhalla Golf Club

Designed by all-time major Champion Jack Nicklaus, Valhalla’s quality is unparalleled in the Bluegrass State.  Ranked No. 1 in Kentucky and among “America’s 100 Greatest Courses” by Golf Digest, Valhalla has hosted three PGA Championships (1996, 2000, 2014); two Senior PGA Championships (2004, 2011); and the 2008 Ryder Cup.  This thrilling, challenging layout is where Tiger Woods held off Bob May in a riveting three-hole PGA Championship playoff and where the United States prevailed in pulsating fashion to reclaim the Ryder Cup. Valhalla will continue with its championship tradition as it will host the 2024 PGA Championship once again.

Internships combine in-class learning with on-course application. Our structured program offers students the ability to gain valuable knowledge of maintaining cool season turf in the demanding Transition Zone. Interns will learn first hand mowing techniques, moisture management, application programs from inception to application and be partnered with industry personnel to help build their network.
