Seasonal Intern

Interns will be directly involved with the day to day maintenance of 18 hole private golf course and club grounds.  Interns will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistants in planning, scheduling, and daily operating procedures.  Calibration, pesticide applications, fertilizing, mowing fundamentals, proper course setup and water management will be the core of the internship.  The opportunity to lead small crews and motivate staff members will help interns prepare for their next step as an Assistant-In-Training or Assistant Superintendent.  Candidates can expect to work typically 50-70 hours per week with every other weekend scheduled off.  Interns who are entering their final year in their educational program may be offered an entry level management position following their internship and graduation.   We have a lot of exciting capital improvement projects on the horizon to include a new state-of-the-art maintenance facility (Phase 1 completed in 2022 & Phase 2 slated for 2025), a 25 acre par 3 course utilizing a 2 wire Toro irrigation system, Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass tees and fairways, variable depth constructed greens seeded to Coho, Piranha and L93 XD bentgrass varieties  (construction begins fall 2022 and is projected to open for play in spring of 2024), and an 18 hole Donald Ross championship golf course restoration in partnership with Andrew Green Design (slated to begin 2026).
