Equipment/Shop Manager

The Shop/Equipment Manager reports directly to Golf Course Superintendent. He/she is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, as well as, diagnosing and repairing a varied fleet of equipment involved with a turf care operation. Safety, cleanliness and communicating ideas and issues with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent are essential for this position. LedgeRock uses primarily Toro equipment with the high use equipment on a rotating lease.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Any additional education or training will be considered
Experience Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Manages shop operation and organization of all golf course equipment and vehicles.
- Experience grinding reels and bedknives, adjusting heights of cut, etc. to maintain proper performance of cutting units.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with general maintenance and troubleshooting small engines/diesel engines.
- Basic fabrication/welding skills are a plus.
- Previous golf course maintenance experience is a plus, but will train the right candidate in skills required for the position (hydraulics, reel grinding/setup, etc.)
