The golf course is a newly constructed private 18-hole Pete Dye designed golf course spread over 270 acres. It features TifEagle bermudagrass greens, Platinum TE tees and fairways, centipedegrass roughs, and bahiagrass secondary roughs with expansive native areas and focused on exceptional conditioning while being leaders in environmental sustainability.

The assistant will report directly to the golf course superintendent and assist in providing exceptional playing conditions throughout the year.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·The primary role for the assistant will be to oversee and direct the daily activities of the maintenance staff to include proper machine and safety training.
·The assistant will be responsible for proper record keeping, developing and implementing pest control strategies, calibration of equipment and performing/overseeing applications of plant protectants, pest control measures, and nutrients.
·The assistant will make safety a top priority while performing job duties.
·Possess or ability to possess within 90 days of employment a Florida commercial restricted use pesticide applicators license.
·2 years of golf course experience; management experience preferable.
·Possession of a valid Driver’s license.
Special Working Conditions:
·Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, when necessary.
·Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. repetitively.
·Ability to stand, bend, and twist frequently.
·Ability to work outdoors in a wide range of environmental conditions.
