About the Role:
The San Francisco Giants is looking for a Sports Turf Technician II, where you will have the uniqueopportunity to service and maintain the professional playing surfaces of our minor league training grounds in Phoenix, AZ. You will be expected to maintain playing surfaces consistent with the major league level to help the Giants develop the next generation of talent. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to provide customer service in the set up and breakdown of on field workouts, while balancing the day to day maintenance tasks to keep our playing surfaces and landscape in top condition. Thisrole reports to the Manager of Minor League Field Operations. This position will be located at our brand-new Spring Training Facility in Phoenix, AZ.

·You’re skilled in technical aspects of turfgrass management and baseball field maintenance such as fertilizer application and mound/plate/infield skin maintenance.
·You’re flexible to adapt to other duties as assigned.

·2 years minimum field maintenance experience at a baseball/athletic facility.
·Valid Arizona Driver License.
·Ability to develop effective and collaborative working relationship.
·Ability to work extended hours during spring training. Nights, weekends and holidays as required.
·Good health with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
·Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and work in extreme heat and or harsh conditions.
·Must have or obtain Arizona Pesticide Applicators license within 6 months of hire date.
