2nd Assistant Superintendent

Atlanta Athletic Club is a private 36 hole facility, located 25 miles North of Atlanta. Our charter as a private club dates back to 1898 when a group of young businessmen were looking for a place to enjoy indoor and outdoor athletics with their associates and friends. The original downtown club was located on Edgewood Avenue and through the ages twice outgrew its space and relocated. The Club added a golf course and country club at East Lake in 1915 and moved to the present Johns Creek location in the late 1960s. The club has been home to many great athletes, most notably Bobby Jones.

The club has played host to multiple major events and most recently hosted the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Beginning in January 2022, the Riverside course will be undergoing a complete rebuild and redesign, under the direction of architect Tripp Davis. The renovation will include an all HDPE irrigation system, sand capping fairways and tees, drainage installation, and reshaping for the new design.
