The Snake River Sporting Club is nestled along the Snake River, just 19 miles from Jackson Hole. If winter is more your style Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is ranked #1 Best Ski Resort in North America. Jackson Hole offers world class back-country skiing and snowmobiling as well.
Golf Course Description
The Snake River Sporting Club: Golf Course is a private course, built on a 1980’s cattle ranch, by Tom Weiskopf. SRSC seeded A-4 bentgrass Greens in 2013, with dwarf-bluegrass, Approaches, Fairways and Tees. SRSC measures just over 7,500 yards from the tips and opened as the #2 New Private Course in the US in 2007 (Golf Digest). Golf Digest rated SRSC #1 Best in State: Wyoming for the 2015-2016 season. Golfweek rated SRSC #33 Best: Residential Courses, 2017. As well as the top-rated golf course in Wyoming, SRSC also provides amenities such as: fly fishing, kayaking, archery, clay shooting, hunting, horseback riding, pool, spa, clay tennis court, ice skating, Winter terrain park, tubing hill, Nordic skiing and paddle tennis.
Assist in all aspects of daily golf course maintenance with an emphasis on pesticide calculation, calibration and application. Consult with superintendent and assistants daily to plan and supervise crew member tasks and maintenance of golf course and home lawn landscape. Instruct crew members on proper equipment operation, check on crew members during projects, identify and overcome problems in the field, identify and repair irrigation issues and prioritize tasks in order of importance, etc.

SRSC, as well as the Mountain West region, has experienced a drastic increase in both golf rounds and memberships during 2020/2021 and we are expecting this increase to continue through 2022 and beyond. The increase in demand at SRSC has allowed us to continue to expand our operation, there will be a potential for growth for the right candidate. At SRSC we have a lot of job diversity which enables us to avoid getting into the “rut” of doing the same job day in, day out. This position will provide endless opportunities to learn about golf course management in the Mountain West, as well as, home lawn maintenance, landscape, and irrigation installation, among other things.
2- or 4-year Turfgrass degree or a degree in a related field is preferred.
Applicant must have:
- 2-3 years golf course experience
- Experience managing projects and small crews
- Irrigation experience
- Pesticide: calculation, calibration and application experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain a Wyoming Pesticide License
- Experience operating golf course equipment
- Experience operating heavy equipment (tractor, skid steer, mini excavator)
- Willingness to learn
Applicant must be able to lift 50+ lbs frequently, walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch regularly. Must have the ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Experience: speaking Spanish, operating heavy equipment (Front end loader, excavator), home lawn landscape and hardscape is a plus, but not required.
Our team is looking for a reliable, highly motivated individual, who is looking to grow within the Turfgrass Industry. Golf course maintenance is only one aspect of our day-to-day operations. SRSC also provides home lawn and landscape maintenance through the SRSC Homeowners Association, as well as amenity landscaping and a fully functional Ranch. The diversity of job responsibilities at SRSC means our time is split between the golf course and other tasks. In the winter we have 12-16 team members, who are, responsible for: Nordic ski trail grooming, roadway, amenities, clubhouse and homeowner snow removal.
