Seasonal Intern

Facility Description:

Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is a new 18 hole private facility that is currently open for play on the front 9 while construction and grow in continues on the back 9.  Priding itself in exceptional service and championship caliber conditions, Driftwood is seeking summer interns for the 2022 season to aid in the maintenance/ grow-in leading up to the grand opening. Designed by renowned architect Tom Fazio, Driftwood is located just outside of Austin, Texas and is the newest addition to the Discovery Land Company portfolio.  To learn more about Discovery Land Company, please visit https://discoverylandco.com/

The golf course features turfgrasses unique to the area that will provide interns experience managing both cool and warm season turf in Central Texas. The greens are built to USGA specifications and are comprised of 007 bentgrass. Tees, fairways and rough were established with Zeon Zoysia.  The golf course is paired with a world class 13 acre practice facility and short game area that includes three Mach 1 bermudagrass chipping greens, Lattitude 36 and Zeon Zoysia range tees, and two bentgrass putting greens offering interns a vast array of exposure to different cultivars.  The state of the art irrigation system is comprised of a Rain Bird IC system (2 wire) and plumbed with HDPE.
