Assistant Superintendent

Educational Requirements
2 or 4 year Turfgrass Management degree from an accredited University
Experience Requirements
A minimum of two years golf course experience is required. Extensive water management and pesticide knowledge is preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain PA pesticide licenses within 90 days of employment.
Special Requirements
This position will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure championship course conditions are met on a daily basis. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: course set-up, hand watering, small crew management, chemical applications, record keeping, and implementation of IPM program.
South Hills Country Club will begin installation of new Toro irrigation system and pumphouse fall of 2022. Upcoming projects include continued work on course masterplan, cart paths, new maintenance facilities and bunker renovation.
South Hills Country Club is looking for an individual who shows the necessary desire and dedication to the turf industry with an objective of becoming a Golf Course Superintendent. Candidate must be a result-driven individual that possesses a keen eye for detail. The ability to be a team player, have a positive attitude, and carry oneself in a professional manner is essential.
