Lexington Country Club is a prestigious private community with 1,479 homes and an 18-hole championship golf course seeking a Residential / Common Grounds Manager.

RESIDENTIAL/COMMON GROUNDS MANAGER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following- Other duties may be assigned.

 

·         Reports to the Golf Course Superintendent / Director of Agronomy

 

·         Assists in maintaining all grounds and HOA maintenance equipment

 

·         Confers with the Golf Course Superintendent / Director of Agronomy regarding schedules, training, supervision and evaluation of all personnel assigned to department

 

·         Along with the guidance of the Golf Course Superintendent / Director of Agronomy supervises the planting, fertilizing and care of turf, plants, shrubs, trees and other facilities of the community

 

·         Along with the Golf Course Superintendent/ Director of Agronomy, implements and enforces comprehensive safety program for employees, members and guests on course in compliance with local, state and federal laws

 

·         Determines work priority and assigns workers to specific tasks such as fertilizing, irrigating, mowing, raking and spraying

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Supervises the employees assigned to maintaining the residential and common grounds.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
