Lawn Care Manager

As our company continues to grow, we are excited to announce the addition of our newest territory in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Lawn care applications will start in 2023 but we are searching for our next great leader to not only start up this location, but develop a support team. Beginning this fall, this position will have access to all department resources including: HR, Marketing, Operations and Sales. The Branch Manager will be responsible for hiring and developing a marketing team that will introduce our company to potential customers for the 2023 season.  As a start up location, the Branch Manager will have to understand all aspects of the company and will be heavily involved in marketing during fall and winter and production/service on lawns during spring and summer. We anticipate that this role and branch will quickly evolve. In just 5 years, our company has opened two similar locations that have revenues of $2 million dollars and are 8+ truck operations; we expect even quicker growth at this location. Our Branch Manager is an essential part of our growing company and allows the ideal candidate future growth opportunities within the company. As a Branch Manager, you will help direct the sales, service and administrative function of your branch location to provide quality service to customers and achieve branch performance objectives. The Branch Manager will aid in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the operation and maintain profit and loss accountability. In this role, you will continue to develop the team through effective coaching and continuous feedback to help ensure the continued growth of the company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a team of marketing representatives and lawn care technicians

  • Identify and develop a Service Manager and Marketing Supervisor within the first year

  • Acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed with staff and procedures

  • Develop the company’s bench strength of talent by mentoring, training, and developing team for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes

  • Holding staff accountable through a corrective action process

  • Working directly with the Quality Control Manager to ensure standard work procedures are being followed by both Service Managers and Lawn Care Technicians

  • Partnering with other department heads to ensure cross-collaboration of best practice and instilling a culture of innovation

  • Developing and supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all staff

  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives to improve customer retention

  • Upholding company Core Values throughout the Operations Department

  • Overseeing all direct expenses to ensure company financial goals are hit including payroll, product usage, and vehicle/equipment maintenance

  • Managing inventory and ensuring calibration goals are executed by your team

  • Interviewing and on-boarding new employees with a commitment to creating a “World Class First Day” experience

  • Manage and direct the service department to meet and exceed customer service requirements for new and existing Customers

  • Develop and implement on-going programs and training necessary to ensure that all technicians and service managers are aligned with the goals of the department

  • Plan production routes for each work day and allocate work appropriately so as to ensure round deadlines are met

  • Provide a friendly, clean, well maintained state-of-the-art facility for staff

  • Perform other related duties as required to meet the goals of the company

  • Develops procedures to minimize customer complaints and retain customers.

  • Follows up on customer complaints and communicates/negotiates with customers to reach a satisfactory resolution of the assessed problem.

  • Reviews production costs and service quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.

  • Helps prepare annual budget, re-projections, and monthly projections.

  • Evaluates performance, makes salary recommendations, and administers disciplinary actions consistent with company policy.

  • Prepares all necessary reports and attends meetings as required.

Salary:

$60,000 - $70,000
