Pablo Creek Club in Jacksonville, FL is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our management staff. This job will require a keen eye for detail, extremely solid work ethic, and a passion for learning the advanced techniques used to provide world-class conditioning on a golf course. As part of the management team, the assistant-in-training will be exposed to all aspects of the operation, including the building and application of fertilizer blends, taking and interpreting soil and disease reports, chemical strategies and application, crew training and management, capital and operational budget building and implementation, and many other processes that will prepare the individual for a lead assistant position and eventually a head superintendent job.
College degree required, preferably with a focus on Turf Management
Some golf course experience preferred, but not required. With a great attitude, experience will be gained quickly.
Must be a quick learner, hard worker, and critical thinker. Ideas and discussion are always encouraged. Must have a passionate desire to advance in our industry, not only in position, but in knowledge. Must have the ability to acquire a Florida Pesticide applicator's license within 90 days of hire.
