Spray/Applications Technician


North Ridge Country Club, a private member-owned club in North Raleigh, is looking to add a Spray Technician to its golf course maintenance and grounds management team.

About our Club:

North Ridge Country Club is an exclusive, member-owned country club located in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are a full-service club with two championship 18-hole golf courses, Golf Learning Center, and practice facilities.

Located on nearly 400 acres of rolling wooded terrain, the impressive complex and grounds offer exceptional social and recreational opportunities for our members, their families and guests. The two golf course aptly named Lakes and Oaks, were designed by Gene Hamm and George Cobb and were later updated by John LaFoy and Kris Spence. The two courses feature G-12 Champion greens, a new Toro Lynx irrigation system, and have hosted a wide variety of professional and amateur events over the years.

Job Details:

The successful candidate will be responsible for making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of course superintendents and director of golf course operations. This will include, detailed record keeping, inventory management, and maintenance and calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment. 

Educational Requirements

College graduate with degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Certificate or related field, but not required. Experience seriously taken into consideration.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience working on a golf course is preferred, but not required. Must be detail oriented, have a strong work ethic, and a desire to provide championship conditions for the membership on a daily basis.
  • Must have pesticide license.
  • Ability to help in the daily management of the courses as needed and work closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.
  • Knowledge of chemical application and calibration.
  • Ability to work every other weekend and OT as needed.
  • Ability to start early (approx. 6:15am).
  • Ability to work holidays (usually just a few hours in the morning).
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather.
  • Spanish speaking skills are a plus, but not required.

Special Requirements

Must possess NC Pesticide Applicators License
