North Ridge Country Club, a private member-owned club in North Raleigh, is looking to recruit 2 full-time seasonal intern to its golf course maintenance and grounds management team for the 2023 season.

About our Club:

North Ridge Country Club is an exclusive, member-owned country club located in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are a full-service club with two championship 18-hole golf courses, Golf Learning Center, and practice facilities.

Located on nearly 400 acres of rolling wooded terrain, the impressive complex and grounds offer exceptional social and recreational opportunities for our members, their families and guests. The two golf course aptly named Lakes and Oaks, were designed by Gene Hamm and George Cobb and were later updated by John LaFoy and Kris Spence. The two courses feature G-12 Champion greens, a new Toro Lynx irrigation system, and have hosted a wide variety of professional and amateur events over the years. 

The ideal candidate is someone that communicates well, is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, and is well organized. North Ridge is committed to being a preferred employer.

Program Description:

Our competitive internship program focuses on developing knowledge and experience pertinent to the advancement of the interns golf course management career. Interns will gain hands-on training in equipment operation and maintenance, course set-up, irrigation, chemical and fertilizer applications, personnel management, record keeping, and project management under the direction of course superintendents, equipment manager and director of agronomy with a combined 60+ years of experience. Each student experience will be tailored specifically to match the expectations of school's program and the each individual's career goals and aspirations. At North Ridge we believe in investing in the future and making the commitment to provide the most comprehensive and educational experience possible for each intern. Program Length varies from 8 to 16 weeks. $500.00 Scholarship for top preforming interns.

Educational Requirements

Currently enrolled in 2 or 4-year Turfgrass Science/management program 

Experience Requirements

Prior golf course experience is preferred but not mandatory

Valid driver's license
