Seasonal Intern


Free Housing & Food - Desire to learn, hard worker and motivated. Students will be exposed to preparations for the Portland Classic LPGA golf event. Students will also experience a monthly classroom setting to review the golf club’s management programs. Students will meet with a monthly guest speaker to cover soil test, spend time with the GM on budget and will meet with a pump station contractor, to understand the fundamentals of a pump station. Interns will set goals for program and will cover: cultural practices, variance reports/forecasting, weed management and pesticide applications Weekly goals will be set with the Superintendent and an outline will be set for weekly achievements during the summer in turf management practices.

Educational Requirements

Must be enrolled in a turf management program or a recent grad

Experience Requirements

Prefer prior turf experience
