The Standard Club recently approved a Master Plan developed by golf course architect Tyler Rae. This includes the installation of a brand new Rain Bird IC system beginning in November of this year, as well as a complete driving range renovation scheduled for the summer. The master plan also includes new greens construction, re-shaping of two holes, complete bunker re-construction, and tee re-construction. This part of the renovation will begin in late 2025.
The Standard Club, originally founded in 1867, is a throwback, a golden age design built in the modern area. Its design is reminiscent of Allister McKenzie and Perry Maxwell. The property is unique with rolling terrain, and large elevation drops, all making the golf course an unforgettable experience.
Under the direction of the Head Golf Course Superintendent and along with the two First Assistants, help manage and perform task associated with maintaining a high caliber golf course to championship levels. Help manage the 20 plus employees consisting of a seasonal H2B staff and fulltime staff. Facilitate projects such as irrigation repair, drainage installations, landscaping, creek bank improvements, irrigation installation.
This position will have the ability to make a significant impact on the staff and the process our team follows.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain renovation experience this summer and fall with the renovation of our practice facility and the installation of our new state of the art irrigation system starting in November.
Educational Requirements
Formal turf degree not required.
Open to all education and degree levels.
Will train and provide mentoring to build on career goals.
