Grounds Staff

Tara Iti Golf Club is a private golf club in New Zealand. It is a modern links layout comprised of fescue playing surfaces.

We have a few spots available for our winter season. Tara Iti is situated in the very north of the country and we enjoy a sub-tropical climate. Winter is very mild (40-70 degrees Fahrenheit), and our fescue is still actively growing. During our winter months we perform all of our cultural practices, and make improvements to our irrigation system. We also prepare the golf course for play each day and because of the temperatures, there is no need to worry about moisture management. In addition to that, we will be making some architectural changes and adding to our drainage network this winter, too. 

This could be a great opportunity for someone to obtain experience with projects, equipment operation, and irrigation.
